The Volunteer Center Can Help!
United Way's Volunteer Center promotes volunteerism by connecting volunteers with opportunities, publicly recognizing volunteer efforts and directing programs that mobilize volunteers to address community problems.
The Volunteer Center works with all nonprofit organizations in the Chattanooga region and serves as a resource on volunteerism through various educational programs and training initiatives, in partnership with the Center for Nonprofits.

A HandsOn Action Center United Way's Volunteer Center has been officially designated as a HandsOn Action Center. HandsOn is the largest volunteer network in the nation and includes more than 250 Action Centers world wide. These centers work "community-wide" across various issues to develop high-impact volunteer programming.
Through building relationships with nonprofit, school, faith-based, corporate partners and others, Action Centers play a critical role in leveraging volunteer power to the fullest effect. United Way of Greater Chattanooga is pleased to be an affiliate of the HandsOn Network and is looking forward to utilizing the extensive resources afforded by the partnership to better serve the community.
