FINRA Training Sessions will take place in various locations throughout the community this quarter.
Financial Literacy is a topic that many are talking about and is emerging as an important piece in working towards individual and family stability.
Those working with clients in crisis may recognize the need to provide assistance in this area but lack the knowledge, resources and tools to do so. In order to meet this challenge, a unique opportunity for free financial literacy training for those who work with disadvantaged populations is being offered through the CNP.
This training is designed to equip social services staff to serve as coaches in the area of financial literacy and is provided through a grant from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) through a collaboration with Partnership for Families, Children & Adults and its Consumer Credit Counseling division, the University of Tennessee Extension Office, United Way and the CNP. The training is open to staff and volunteers of any nonprofit, governmental or community-based organization that work with financially-stressed populations.
FINRA Training Sessions will be presented by Linda Rath Director of Partnership’s Consumer Credit Counseling Service, and June Puett, of TN Saves and the University of Tennessee Extension - Hamilton County
