Position Qualifications

& Responsibilities

The Dalton State College Foundation identifies, solicits, and manages private gifts to support the mission of the College, and fosters the institution’s alumni program.  As a cooperating organization of Dalton State, the Foundation serves as the College’s friend-raising and fundraising component to ensure that the necessary strategic human and financial resources are in place to aid the institution in its growth and to meet the higher education demands of the College’s service area. 

The Foundation seeks a Development Coordinator to assist with advancement operations and to manage the Annual Fund.

A bachelor’s degree is required; concentration in marketing, communications, or public relations is preferred.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as integrity, creativity, initiative, teamwork, flexibility, and a sense of humor.  Some evenings and weekends, as well as occasional out-of-town travel, will be required.
