Major Projects Manager/Festival Director- AVA 9.9.11

The Association for Visual Arts (AVA) is a multifaceted visual arts organization that produces visual and media arts programs and events for the greater Chattanooga and Southeast TN areas.  AVA seeks a knowledgeable and practiced Major Projects Manager to oversee its signature fine arts festival, 4 Bridges Arts Festivalä. 

The person in this position will have an understanding of the responsibilities and tasks required to produce a nationally ranked fine arts festival including:

1) meeting overall festival goals while attending to its numerous details
2) strong communication and organizational skills 
3) relationships with artists across the country and
4) knowledge of best practices in the field 

Position is full time, year round with approximately ½ of responsibilities devoted to the festival and ½ to other AVA programs. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; 5 years festival experience preferred. Position is 35 hours/week. Salary range $36,000 - $38,000, includes vacation and health insurance.
