JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Program Shift Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORT TO: Executive Director SALARY: $7.25 - $8.00 Per Hour
Purpose of Position: To provide for supervision and care of clients and their children and be responsible for the storing, inventory and distribution of supplies, food and other purchased or donated materials. Perform all other duties and assignments as indicated by the Lead Case Manager. This position is 3rd shift position, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for Thursday night/Friday morning, 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for Friday night/Saturday morning two nights per week.
Key Responsibility Areas: Program Operation Responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator with all duties and responsibilities necessary to insure an efficient and effective agency operation and delivery of services.
Key Responsibility Area: Safety/Security Responsible for taking the necessary measures and following policies/procedures to insure safety and well-being of clients and a secure and safe facility.
Key Responsibility Area: Facility Hygiene Responsible for the cleanliness and order throughout the facility, including proper regulating of household supplies and the reporting of needed repairs, damaged items or structure, and suggested improvements.
Key Responsibility Area: Consultation Responsible for initiation of communication on an on-going basis with the Program Coordinator and other agency staff regarding clients, facility or assignments.
Key Responsibility Area: Team Relationship Responsible for assisting in the promotion of healthy team development and functioning. Responsible for attendance at supervision, team meetings and training.
Key Responsibility Area: Confidentiality Responsible for insuring confidentiality of information related to clients, agency personnel, and other information of a confidential nature.
Key Responsibility Area: Record Keeping Responsible for record keeping duties such as program log, time sheets, repair requests, client related reports, and other paperwork assignments.
Key Responsibility Area: Food Preparation Responsible for assisting families and volunteers with food preparation and ensure the provision of special diet requirements.
Relationships: Internal: Agency staff, Volunteers, Clients
External: Community Resources, Referring Agencies
Minimal Job Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalency diploma with clerical skills.
Experience: Some experience working in Human Services field is desired.
Skills: Ability to work within the framework of the agency and to follow and adhere to established agency procedures. Acceptance of agency objectives/mission and appreciation of services provided. Capacity to communicate well, use good judgment, possesses leadership ability, and serves as a role model for clients. Ability to evaluate own performance, recognize and control biases, maintain confidentiality, and organize own time and effort to meet requirement of the job.

Ability to verbally converse with clients/resources over the phone and in person. Ability to produce written communication, documents and reports utilizing agency computer hardware. Must be able to get to and from various locations. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, clients and other sources. Must participate in training. Must be able to see; hear; talk and write. Must be able to dial phones. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Must be able to effectively perform with minimal support. Must be able to read and comprehend; retain and follow oral and written instructions; exercise good judgment; and set priorities.
