Bachman Academy
Bachman Academy's mission is to empower students who have learning differences to develop the skills and values necessary for success in our global community. A boarding and day school for children in grades 6-12 who have language-based learning differences, like Dyslexia, and attention issues, like AD/HD; Bachman Academy provides a language-rich program of study emphasizing active learning. In addition to college-prep academics, the academy offers career education in equestrian, mechanics, woodworking, and horticulture. Bachman Academy is dually-accredited by SAIS/SACS.
Dorm Parent Positions: Bachman Academy is accepting resumes for one weekend dorm parent and two weekday dorm parents for the boys' dorms. Qualifications: High School diploma required; college degree preferred. Must have ability to relate to and work with teenage children with learning disabilities. Dorm parents are responsible for the total supervision of students during shift. Weekday shift consists of evenings and nights, Monday - Friday, 40 hours. Weekend shift is Friday at 3:30 pm to Monday 8:00 am, 40 hours. Requirements: For insurance purposes, dorm parents must be at least 25 years of age and have a clean driving record in order to drive students in a 15-passenger van.
Salary Range - $9.20/hour, full-time
