Andrea Nierenberg, an internationally recognized speaker and the author of Million Dollar Networking, will be the keynote speaker at the 8th Annual Tennessee Valley Fundraising Institute Conference. Andrea leads The Nierenberg Group, a consulting firm, based in New York, which focuses on equipping people to find, grow and keep their clients that are key to their organization’s success. She is frequently acknowledged on television and in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, where she was described as a “networking success story!”
This year, TVFI will be held Friday, August 15th from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. in UTC’s University Center. The TVFI committee is planning for its biggest turn out yet! With three nationally recognized speakers addressing topics such as industry best practices, planned giving, online community networking and many others, there is sure to be a topic to interest both the new and experienced fundraiser. Participants will learn new trends in the field along with networking with other fundraising professionals in the community. CFRE credits are available and certificates will be given upon completion.

Siskin Children's Insitute is excited to announce that Grammy nominated duo of the year, Sugarland, will be headlining StarNight 2008. StarNight 2008 is Chattanooga's premier black tie gala and includes a cocktail hour, dinner, and intimate concert with Sugarland and an after-party with a dance band.

Hospice of Chattanooga Volunteer Orientation and Training. Hospice of Chattanooga is in need of volunteers interested in visiting patients and families, offering bereavement support, doing pet therapy, representing HOC at healthfairs, helping out in the office, and assisting with special events. Orientation for all types of volunteering will be held Tues., August 5th from 5pm-9pm. The additional 16 hour training required for all direct patient-family support will be held Sat., August 9th 9am-5pm, Mon., August 11th from 5pm-9pm, and Thurs., August 14th form 5pm-9pm. The unique challenges can lead many CEO’s to think, “it’s lonely at the top!”
The CEO Roundtables (5+ & NEW) is to provide a CONFIDENTIAL peer advisory group to commiserate, lend counsel or otherwise discuss topics that are pertinent to your respective organizations. Each group will determine in advance the topic for each meeting and occasionally an outside expert may be asked to meet with the group depending upon the issue to be discussed.
